We have an opening for an Accounting Manager with 5+ years of recent experience in cloud accounting and heavy accrual accounting experience. The right candidate will lead a staff with client accounting projects at varying complexity levels for a diverse group of clients. This is a full-time position open only to local applicants in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities

Experienced with leading and managing a staff with assigned client accounting projects at varying complexity levels for a diverse group of clients
Ability to take lead and initiative on new clients as they onboard
Ability to streamline and recommend client accounting workflow and software stack
Perform and review month-end close process to deliver financial statements to clients within specified time frame
Heavy accrual accounting experience a must
Participate in other ad hoc accounting initiatives as assigned by the manager
Support and instruct junior team members
Strong technical skills, with working knowledge of QBO, Xero and QB Desktop accounting systems, as well as apps such as Bill.com and Expensify
Ability to follow firm policies and procedures and to meet deadlines and budgets

Requirements

5+ years of recent accounting experience with cloud-based accounting systems and apps
3+ years of experience managing a team
Highly self-motivated
Ability to balance the needs of multiple accounts- multi-task experts only
Professionalism with strong oral and written communication skills
Resourceful and well-organized with high attention to detail
